Week 8 of the 52 week photo project.

These pictures were taken at  a reservoir off of Tampa Bay called the Big Bend.  When the water temperature of Tampa Bay is below 68 degrees the Manatee come into the reservoir.

The scars on the back of this Manatee were caused by an outboard motor.  You will see these marks on many of the Manatee.

I was driving on SR 64 along the Perico Bayou, and I stopped near one of the bridges and took these pictures.

De Soto National Memorial in Bradenton, Florida commemorates the 1539 landing of Hernando de Soto and the first extensive, organized exploration by Europeans of the southern United States.

Week 5 of the 52 week photo project.  January 29 - February 4.

These pictures were taken at the Florida Railroad Museum in Parrish, Florida.  I was able to go into the bone yard and photograph some of the old, rusty railroad engines and cars.
